Police in Rubirizi District are investigating the suspected murder of a 50-year-old man who was stabbed following a disagreement over sharing meat.
The deceased, identified as Tumwebaze Joachim, a resident of Mubanda D Village in Ryeru Sub-county, reportedly got into a heated argument on the night of May 28, 2026, at around 9:00 p.m.
According to Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson SP Apollo Tayebwa, the suspect allegedly stabbed Tumwebaze during the fight before fleeing the scene.
Residents rushed the victim to Rubirizi Medical Centre, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have since taken the body to Rugazi Health Centre IV mortuary for postmortem examination as investigations continue.
