James Mwesigye, the Western Region RDC Commissioner, has warned residents of Mbarara City against hoarding fuel in their homes, saying they risk arrest.
Lt. Col. Mwesigye cautioned that fuel is highly flammable and storing it in residential areas poses serious safety risks.
The warning comes amid a sharp rise in fuel prices across the city, with pump prices increasing from about UGX 5,500 per litre to between UGX 7,000 and 10,000.
