The Kisoro Grade One Magistrate Bob Asiimwe, has committed two men to the Kabale High Court on charges of murder.

The accused, Enock Kabeshezi and Moses Mugararura, both residents of Ikamiro Village in Kisoro District, are alleged to have unlawfully killed 42-year-old Peninnah Orishaba on October 10, 2025.

Court heard that the suspects reportedly found the victim asleep before attacking her and fatally cutting her neck. The body was later discovered by the deceased’s mother.

Investigations led police to the suspects through phone records, including calls made shortly before the incident. A postmortem confirmed that the victim died from severe neck injuries, while her mobile phone and SIM card were recovered and presented as exhibits.

Prosecution, led by State Attorney Eroni Nambi, told court that investigations were complete and committal papers ready, prompting the magistrate to refer the case to the High Court for trial.
