A Senior Clinical Officer at Kikoni Health Centre IV in Rwampara District has been remanded to November 3, 2026, over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence.

Kamugisha Asaph was arraigned before the Ndeija Magistrate’s Court on two counts of obtaining money by false pretence.

Prosecution alleges that on February 23, 2026, at Kanoni Town in Rwampara District, Kamugisha obtained 23 million shillings from several people by falsely claiming that he could help them secure jobs with the Rwampara District Local Government.

According to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Kamugisha was arrested following complaints raised by members of the public during the Expose the Corrupt national campaign spearheaded by the Minister of State for Local Government, Balaam Barugahara, in Rwampara District.

Investigations were subsequently conducted, leading to his arrest and arraignment in court.
