Hundreds of mourners on Friday gathered at Kabagoma Village in Ibanda District to pay their final respects to celebrated Catholic liturgical music icon John Bosco Kazoora during his burial ceremony.
Kazoora, widely admired for his contribution to Catholic liturgical music, was praised for using music to strengthen the faith of Christians and inspire generations of worshippers within the Catholic Church.
While leading the funeral Mass, Severinus Ndugwa described the late Kazoora as a devoted servant of God whose music ministry touched countless lives.

Ndugwa noted that Kazoora’s songs played a significant role in evangelization and deepening spirituality among Catholics, saying his contribution to the Church would never be forgotten.
He also challenged young people to emulate Kazoora’s determination and hard work, noting that despite his humble educational background, he pursued his passion and rose to become one of the most respected figures in Catholic liturgical music.
Kazoora passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, just days after celebrating his sacrament of holy matrimony on April 25, 2026, a development that has left many believers in shock and sorrow.
