The Deputy National Coordinator of the Parish Development Model (PDM), Bonnie Kashaija, has directed beneficiaries of the programme to begin repaying funds received after the expiry of the grace period.
Kashaija made the remarks during the Parish Development Model Regional Financial Inclusion Pillar Review Workshop held at Mbarara District Council Hall in Kamukuzi.
She said beneficiaries who received funds under the first two phases of the programme between 2022 and 2024 must start repaying the loans to ensure sustainability of the initiative and allow more Ugandans to benefit.
Kashaija emphasized that timely repayment is important in strengthening the revolving fund system and promoting financial discipline among beneficiaries.
