Thirty primary school pupils from Kasese District have been flagged off to represent the district at the national primary schools athletics competitions in Tororo.

The flag-off was presided over by the District Vice Chairperson, Girivazio Monday Bwambale, who urged the young athletes to remain disciplined, work as a team, and raise the district’s flag high.

He also called on coaches to prioritize the safety and welfare of the learners throughout the competition.

The pupils were selected from various schools across the district after excelling in the recent district-level championships.

The national competitions bring together top primary school athletes from across Uganda.
