The National Resistance Movement (NRM) registrar for Kaharo Sub County in Kabale District, Charles Byasigaraho, has passed away.
Byasigaraho, 80, a resident of Kamafuni Village in Katenga Parish, Kaharo Sub County, died on Easter Sunday at Mulago National Referral Hospital in Kampala, where he had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.
In a brief interview, Edison Turyahabwa, the Kabale District NRM Publicity Secretary, confirmed the death and said burial arrangements are underway. He noted that the deceased will be laid to rest at his ancestral home on Thursday.
Bridget Asinga, the Kabale District NRM Chairperson and Woman Councillor for Kyanamira Sub County, described Byasigaraho as a dedicated and loyal cadre who served the party with commitment and integrity.
She eulogized him as a trustworthy leader and extended condolences to his family and the NRM fraternity.
