Lillian Ruteraho Woman MP -Elect Isingiro district

Newly elected Members of Parliament in Isingiro District have outlined their key priorities as they begin their term in office, pledging to improve service delivery and address pressing local concerns.

Lillian Ruteraho, the newly elected Isingiro District Woman Member of Parliament on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket, said she will focus on advocating for special interest groups, including women, youth, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.

Ruteraho secured a decisive victory with 135,467 votes, defeating her rivals—Justine Ayebazibwe (Independent) who polled 43,088 votes, Mbabazi Sandra Alexis with 476 votes, and Abaaho Melania who garnered 1,264 votes.

Meanwhile, Mujuni Mari Ascençio, also elected on the NRM ticket as Isingiro South MP, pledged to prioritize improved service delivery across the constituency. He emphasized his commitment to effectively representing voters’ concerns in Parliament and ensuring government programs directly benefit local communities.

Both leaders expressed optimism about working closely with government institutions and local leaders to promote development and improve the welfare of residents in Isingiro District.
