National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential candidate Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has announced a series of major road projects earmarked for Mbarara District and Mbarara City as part of his ongoing infrastructure commitments.
Among the key tarmac works confirmed are the Bwizibwera–Nsiika–Nyakashaka–Nyakabirizi road, the Biharwe–Rwansinga–Karuhanziga road, and the Rwentama–Bwizibwera road.
He also highlighted additional road upgrades planned for the region and pointed to several first-class tarmac roads already completed by the NRM government, saying these investments demonstrate the party’s sustained focus on improving transport connectivity.
Addressing residents at his campaign rally at Booma grounds in Mbarara city Gen. Museveni assured the people of Mbarara of continued peace and stability, noting that unity and issue-based politics have been central to the development gains the region has experienced under his leadership.
