The Kasese District Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has directed the Production and Trade departments to submit a report on the recovery of funds under the Parish Development Model (PDM).
PAC Chairperson Felix Kato Soro said the two-year grace period for beneficiaries ended in December 2024, but the district has not recovered any money from the first beneficiaries who received funds in 2022.
Soro made the remarks during a committee sitting that summoned town clerks from Hima, Maliba and Kisinga, as well as head teachers from St. Johns Maliba and Nkaiga Primary School over audit queries.
The district PDM overseer was also summoned to explain the lack of recoveries.
