Kagando Hospital, a health facility under the South Rwenzori Diocese in Kasese District, has installed a new endoscopy machine to improve access to specialized medical services.

The equipment was received by the Hospital Administrator, Rev. Betty Mbambu Mweru, who said the machine will help address the challenge of patients travelling long distances to access endoscopy services.

Endoscopy enables doctors to examine the digestive tract using a camera-fitted instrument, helping in faster diagnosis and treatment of stomach and intestinal diseases.

Hospital officials said the new machine is expected to reduce costs and save time for patients from Kasese and neighboring areas who previously sought the service elsewhere.

Dr. Yusuf Baseke, the Diocesan Health Director, urged Christians and members of the public to embrace regular medical check-ups.
