Obed Kithende

The Omusinga of Rwenzururu, Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema-Ngoma, has sent condolences to the family of the late Gen. Moses Ali and the Government of Uganda, describing the former Second Deputy Prime Minister as a dedicated public servant who served the nation with distinction.

Speaking at his palace in Kasese on Tuesday, Omusinga Mumbere also expressed sympathy to President Yoweri Museveni and praised Gen. Ali’s contribution to Uganda’s development and public service.

During the same address, the Omusinga announced that the kingdom is in the final stages of gazetting a Royal Cemetery for members of the Rwenzururu royal family, following public concern over the burial of the late Chief Princess Rubugha Asinace Muhindo Kunihira Kibanzanga.

He urged calm among subjects and thanked both the people of Rwenzururu and the Central Government for supporting the royal family during the 14-day mourning period.
