Police in Bushenyi District have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a man who was found dead at Volcano Bar and Lodge in Central Cell.
The deceased has been identified as Kato Edison, a 42-year-old plumber and resident of Central Cell, Bushenyi District.
According to SP Apollo Tayebwa, the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, preliminary findings indicate that Kato, who was known to be an alcohol addict, checked into the lodge alone on October 27, 2025, but was discovered dead in his room the following morning.
Tayebwa said police responded promptly, secured the scene in line with standard procedures, and later conveyed the body to KIU Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination to establish the cause of death.
He added that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
