Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) has launched the Rural Ugandan Research on Adults and Lifestyle Determinants of Non-Communicable Diseases (Rural-NCD) Study at Lugazi Health Centre IV in Rubirizi District.
The study, funded by the MUST Research and Innovation Fund (MUST-RIF) with support from MUST-PEDC, aims to improve understanding and management of non-communicable diseases in rural communities.
MUST Vice Chancellor Prof. Pauline Byakika said the research will generate community-level evidence to guide health policies and improve patient outcomes, urging researchers to translate findings into practical solutions.
