Kashari North Member of Parliament, Bazil Bataringaya, has officially launched his re-election campaign as an independent candidate with door-to-door visits in Kariiro Parish, Rubindi Sub-county, Mbarara District.
Bataringaya said he plans to extend this grassroots campaign approach to all 21 parishes in his constituency, noting that it allows him to directly engage with residents, listen to their concerns, and gather feedback that will shape his priorities in the next parliamentary term.
Speaking during his campaign launch on Monday, Bataringaya urged President Yoweri Museveni, who is expected to campaign in Mbarara next month, to prioritize clean water supply, rural electrification, and other essential services in his next term.
The legislator faces stiff competition from Patrick Musinguzi, the NRM flag bearer, in what is expected to be a tightly contested race.
