Kabale Diocese Bishop, Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira, has called on Christians to use the festive season as an opportunity for spiritual renewal, repentance, and forgiveness.
Delivering his Christmas message, Bishop Rubaramira emphasized that the season is a time to celebrate and give thanks for God’s unparalleled love. Quoting 1 John 4:9, he highlighted that God’s love is demonstrated through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, who was sent to enable humanity to live through Him.
“God’s love is unique, eternal, and a precious gift that motivates us to love others,” the Bishop said, urging Christians to open their hearts to God, seek forgiveness for their sins, and extend the same forgiveness to others.
The Bishop also encouraged Christians to foster unity by showing mercy, cultivating love for one another, and upholding good morals as a testament to their faith.
He concluded by reminding believers that Christmas is not just a time for festivities but also a sacred occasion to reflect on their relationship with God and with each other.
Christmas, observed annually on December 25, is a global religious and cultural celebration commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
