Kasese High Court Trains Police on Forensics and Evidence Handling

By Obed Kithende

Kasese High Court has trained police officers from the Rwenzori East Region on forensic skills and proper handling of exhibits to strengthen criminal investigations.

The training focused on evidence collection, preservation, documentation and presentation in court, with judicial officers warning that poorly handled exhibits can lead to dismissal of cases.

Police leaders welcomed the initiative, saying it will improve professionalism in investigations, strengthen prosecutions and support efforts to reduce case backlog in the region.
