Preliminary investigations indicate that the bus was traveling from Kabale towards Kisoro when it started descending a slope at Chanakye Trading Centre.
The driver reportedly applied the brakes too late, lost control, and failed to negotiate a corner, resulting in the bus overturning.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, confirmed that the scene was visited by ASP Kushaba Michael and his team. A sketch plan was drawn, and all victims were rushed to various clinics and hospitals for treatment.
The bus was towed and is currently parked at Kisoro Central Police Station, pending inspection by the Inspector of Vehicles (IOV).
