Two people, including a polling assistant, have been arrested in Ntungamo District over alleged ballot stuffing during voting.
The suspects have been identified as Francis Agaba and Jonan Nabimanya, a polling assistant at Cell Three polling station in Ntungamo Municipality.
According to eyewitness Boaz Ngaine, Nabimanya allegedly removed four ballot papers and handed them to Agaba to mark and deposit in the ballot box. The incident was discovered after one of the ballot papers reportedly fell from Agaba’s hands.

Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson Samson Kasasira said the case has been registered, though investigations are still ongoing.
Ntungamo District Chairperson race is between the incumbent Sam Mucunguzi Rwakigoba of the NRM and John Kabeho, an independent candidate.
