FUFA Big League side Kigezi HomeBoyz FC have confirmed the signing of Sudanese international forward Abonga Dominic from South Sudan outfit Koryom FC.

The 27-year-old striker has signed a two-year contract, becoming the club’s first acquisition of the January transfer window as HomeBoyz intensify their push for promotion to the Uganda Premier League (UPL).

Abonga’s arrival comes at a crucial stage of the season, with the club also preparing for their Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 encounter against Lugazi Nabugabo United FC, scheduled for 10 February 2026 in Lugazi.

Speaking on the signing on Monday evening, club Communication Officer Allan Abaho said the forward is expected to strengthen the attacking department and increase competition for places.

“Abonga adds depth and quality to our attack and will compete for places with players like Bashamu Mugwa and Egaku Allan Gerald,” Abaho said.

He added that the club is confident the Sudanese international will make a positive impact as Kigezi HomeBoyz pursue their primary objective of securing promotion this season.
