Two vehicles were torched during the recently concluded parliamentary elections.
According to police, the incidents involved a Toyota RAV4 registration number UAH 435Z, belonging to the Ngarama Sub-county LC III Chairperson, Benon Matsiko, and a tricycle (tukutuku) registration number UA 137 AP owned by Nelson Witta, an independent candidate for the Isingiro West parliamentary seat.

Police say the Toyota RAV4 was allegedly set ablaze by individuals linked to Julius Tumuhimbise, an independent candidate for the Bukanga North seat.
The tricycle was torched following a confrontation between supporters of Nelson Witta and those of NRM candidate Lauben Arinaitwe Hams.
