Women Urged to Participate in Family Projects to Overcome Gender Inequality
Ugandans have been argued to increase women participation in family projects as the only way to overcome gender disparity at the household level.
According to Judith Ninsiima Kwizeera the chairperson Kigara farmers association in Kamwezi sub county Rukiga district women involvement in family projects or businesses is both a moral and economic imperative.
Ninsiima notes that closing the gender gap and project ownership by both husbands and wives must be a central part of any strategy to create more sustainable and inclusive economies in societies.
She made remarks on a two day agricultural tour Ntungamo Integrated Farm and Demonstration Centre (NIFADC) owned by a model farmer Narama James in Kyabahinda Nyarubaare Ruhaama county Ntungamo district.
