Winner in Rwampara District Councilor Race Declared

The NRM flag bearer Mwizi-Kabura town council Fred Kabanda has been elected and declared as prospective Rwampara district councilor by obtaining 691 votes and his challenger Ngabirano Medard with 660 votes.

Kabanda said his votes were cheated by the NRM returning officer altering the results as they were NRM elections protested in Rwampara and Mbarara district being transported to the district NRM offices where the results of Ngabirano were increased by one hundred thus putting him on the lead falsely.

Kabanda revealed that he was announced the right winner after the district NRM panel scrutinized the declaration forms cell by cell and discovered that the returning altered the results of 179 votes to 279 votes.
