Why FDC Members are Leaving the Party
Forum for Democratic Change FDC member of parliament Okin Ojara says that is concerned about the number of his party members leaving the party for other political parties.
Okin who is Chwa W est Member of Parliament his concern came at a time when more members of FDC are joining the Alliance for National Transformation party led by Major General Mugisha Muntu, NUP and NRM.
The FDC’s members of parliament who have left the party include the mp for Bugweri county Abdul Katuntu, Jinja Municipality MP Paul Mwiru, Kampala district woman mp Nabilah Nagayi , Nwoya county MP Simon Oyet , Soroti municipality mp Herbert Ariko Kasilo county mp Elijah Okupa and Soroti district woman mp Angelina Ossege among others.
Okin who recently crossed from an independent side of members parliament says that there is a reason cause for him to get worried about the rate of defection from his party.
He however, states that some had failed to have a fair play with rules that are governing the party.
Okin adds that Alliances to form a bloc to win the party in party is still premature in Uganda since many of the political players are greedy, they lack trust.
He says that FDC would also win elections in the next general election for many seats where their members will contest even if Dr. Kizza Besigye is not a party flag bearer.
