Western Uganda’s biggest pork joint Kabagarame Bushenyi to be sold.
Mbarara high court deputy registrar has allowed court brokers from best associated auctioneers and court bailiff to sell the popular Kabagarame pork joint,western Uganda’s biggest,in Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality, and other property including the residential house of the town clerk.
The registrar ordered that the property be sold in 30 days to raise money to cover costs of a court case in which Manfred Muhumuza and others defeated the municipality in chief magistrates court, high court, and court of appeal over park land and they now demand 187 million shillings as court awarded them.
According to the town clerk Didas Muhanguzi, municipal authorities are ensuring all possible to pay Manfred,but also, says the government valuer is coming to confirm if the park land is worth the alleged 1.6 billion,before releasing this amount.
Municipal authorities add that council recommended that the municipality should pay Manfred Muhumuza and his colleagues,but they did not specify on the source on money.
It should also be remembered that Kabagarame joint,located about 2km off Bushenyi-Ishaka road,was early November burnt down by fire and it was recently renovated.
There are about 50 huts, and each one of them is a kitchen, this place attracts people from many districts of western Uganda,even some from Kamapla who like Kabagarame pork,millet (karo) and matooke.
