Western Uganda youth Member of Parliament (MP) aspirant, Simon Katuramu who was on Tuesday August 18,2020 accidentally shot by police at Koranorya-Biharwe weighbridge Mbarara city, is set to receive better medical attention at Ultima Trauma and Orthopedic centre Kampala after spending days at Mbarara regional referral hospital where he was discharged on Saturday with the bullet still in his body near the vena cava.
Katuramu decided to board a lorry after his car got faulty on Lyantonde on the fateful night and the driver of the lorry refused to stop upon being directed by police which prompted police to shoot at the tyres and in the air.
Besides Katuramu being hit by a bullet, one of the occupants the next morning was found dead in the lorry along the northern bypass with his head shattered by bullets and two others have since been reported at large.
Katuramu has revealed that doctors at Ultima Trauma and Orthopedic centre found it very hard to operate as of now and have given him 4 more weeks to see the bullet movement because it’s near the vena cava , the one that supplies blood to the brain and other parts of the body.
‘Dr said is going to do a 3D x-ray for 15 days to see if the bullet is retreating back that will help them find the clear position of digging it out. Every 3D X-ray is between. 150k-300k depending on how long I stay in the theatre,’ he added.
Everything has got its end leave the police to torture Ugandans but one day the country will be relieved.🇺🇬
