Wayne Rooney ‘tells PSG he is keen on transfer from Manchester United’
Interested: Wayne Rooney could move to PSG this summer
Wayne Rooney has cleared the way for a summer switch to Paris Saint-Germain after reportedly telling the French club he is interested in a move.
Rooney’s future is up in the air after he asked to leave Manchester United at the end of the season, but was told a transfer was out of the question.
However, it’s now believed that PSG have opened negotiations over Rooney, with L’Equipe reporting that the England striker is keen on the switch.
The 27-year-old has taken advice from David Beckham and is said to be warming to the idea of moving across the channel, despite having a young family.
PSG are considering Rooney as one of their top targets, with possible deals for Edinson Cavani and Radamel Falcao increasingly unlikely.
New United manager David Moyes is expected to have the final say on Rooney, who has two years left on his current contract.
Rooney would likely cost up to £40million.
