Uplift the livelihoods of women and youth – Ssekandi
The Vice President, Edward Sekandi has called on financial institutions to provide friendly services to the youth and women so as to involve them in agri- business.
Sekandi said this in a statement read on his behalf by the state minister of finance for planning, David Bahati at the opening of rural finance and gender equality conference in Kampala.
According to Regina Bafaki, the executive director of Action for Development East African, leaders should prioritize on policies that favor the young people and women in agribusiness financing.
She explained that innovation for private sector investments should be geared towards inclusive growth, jobs and wealth creation through provision of friendly financial packages to the youth and women.
