UPDF recruitment exercise kicks off with overwhelming turn up.
Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) countrywide recruitment exercise targeting over 4,000 has kicked off with overwhelming turn up today 27 December 2019, running until 5 January 2020.
Kololo to recruit candidates from Kampala,Kotido will recruit those from Kotido,Kaabong,Karenga and Abim.
Lyantonde to recruit those from Lyantonde,Rakai,and Kyotera, among others.
For southwestern Uganda, Today – Hoima, 29th – Fort Portal, 30th – Bundibugyo, 31st – Kasese, 2nd January 2020 – Bushenyi, 3rd – Mbarara (Kakyeeka), lastly 5th – Rukungiri.
The 2nd division spokesperson Maj Charles Kabona has confirmed that the exercise is free, warning against extortion and any soldier implicated will be subjected to law.
The allowed recruits are s.4 leavers, those with vocational and technical training, s.6 leavers with science combinations, and those who completed university must have studied science courses. Should be between the age of 18-25, without health any health complication. Professionals must possess a degree or diploma in engineering, chemistry and medicine,between 18 and 30 years old. You must have your papers , including LC 1 letter and National ID.
