University football Team abducted in Cameroon.
Cameroon – An entire University football team has been kidnapped in the Anglophone region,Cameroon in the central region of Africa.
Fifteen students from the University of Buea were abducted by unknown gunmen in the southwest of the country on Wednesday March 20, 2019 morning.
The first kidnap was on Tuesday when a football coach was kidnapped in Bamenda and later freed.
According to a women’s football squad member Raisa Ajeba, who was training on the same day the team were kidnapped, as soon as she heard of the abduction, she ran home.
The Yong Sports Academy confirmed that Coach Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso was released without a ransom; they don’t know who are behind these abductions and why they freely freed him.
Former junior minister of justice, Emmanuel Ngafesen who has been kidnapped in Bamenda is also not yet seen.
Government troops continue to battle militants in different parts of Cameroon.
