Uganda wild Life Authority suspends tourists in the protected areas due to (COVID-19).
The Uganda wild Life Authority has suspended Uganda’s wildlife tourism in the protected areas due to the outbreak of Corona Virus disease (COVID-19).
In a statement issued out by the Executive Director of the Uganda Wildlife Authority Sam Mwandha said that the measures are following the eventual confirmation of a number coronavirus in the country.
He said that animal tourism and research in all protected areas including the filming of animals has been suspended until April 30th.
He said that trackers of animals will be provided with necessary personal protective equipments to avoid passing on any possible infection to the primates.
The authority has also banned commercial motorcycles and bicycles from protected areas.
