Uganda wild life authority releases over 200 million shillings to share with communities surrounding Kibale national park.
Uganda wild life authority (UWA) has released over 200 million shillings as
part of 20% revenue sharing for the communities surrounding Kibale national
park for the 2017/2018 financial year.
While meeting residents of Kyabakwerere ward in Bigodi town Council yesterday, Asiimwe Robert the Uganda Wild life authority coordinator
attached to Kibale Natonal Park says that over 280 million shillings will be given to the sub counties of Busiriba, Kamwenge and Bigodi town council as part of the 20% revenue sharing.
He says the money will be used to construct trenches and access roads in
the three earmarked areas.
Speaking at the launch of the opening of Kyabakwerere-Kihoima 4.5 access
road, Adolph Magoba the LC3 Chairperson Bigodi town council hailed UWA for releasing the 75 million shillings to work on the access road which has
been transport barrier for residents.
