Uganda Revenue Authority to domestically collect over 21trillion shillings
Government says it is targeting the Uganda Revenue Authority to domestically collect over 21trn shillings out of the 45.5trn shillings budget.
To achieve this, government has a number of interventions it has outlined that have to be implemented.
According to Minister Kasaija, these include rolling out of the usage of digital stamps by manufacturers as this will control the under declaration of production and as well help to meet health and safety standards.
Government is also looking at enhancing the collection of rental income tax and as well gazette rental income chargeable in different geographical areas among other interventions.
