Two people murdered in Ibanda
Police in Ibanda district have arrested two people in connection to the murder of a one Bumusiima Gideon, 34, worker at a pork joint in Igorora cell Igorora town council.
The suspects have been identified as Kamusiime Roger,24, hailing from Kagongi cell Kihunda parish Kagango sub county Sheema municipality and Mugabe Remons,23, hailing from Nyakabirizi cell 1 Nyakabirizi ward Ishaka Bushenyi district, all being held at CPS Ibanda.
It is alleged that on 30/10/2020 at 0330/c, two unknown assailants broke into the house of the deceased and murdered him by smashing his head with a hammer.
Rwizi region police spokesperson, ASP Samson Kasasira said that police on receiving information from the deceased’s employer Barahuka John,34, responded to the scene of crime where the crime officer examined the scene.
The canine was also brought to the scene that tracked the assailants to the home of Kamusiime where clothes stained with fresh blood, a hummer with fresh blood stains and one live ammunition were recovered.
The body of the deceased has been taken to Ruhoko Health centre 4 for postmortem as investigations continue under Murder vide Ibanda CRB698/2020.
Meanwhile, Police is also investigating Murder by cutting VIDE Ibanda CRB 699/2020 that occurred in Kafunjo cell Birongo parish Kijongo subcounty Ibanda districtduring the night of 30/10/2020 at 2300/c.
Unknown assailants attacked and murdered Muzoki John Bosco by cutting his neck with a snap object when the deceased rushed out of his house to rescue his hens that were being stolen by the attackers from his poultry house.
The canine was brought to the scene that tracked assailants to the home of Mugisa Auther who was arrested and is being held at CPS Ibanda.
The body of the deceased was taken to Ruhoko Health centre 4 for postmortem as investigations continue.
