Two months after her release on charges of stealing a baby,She has been arrested over the same.
A 26-year old woman who was two months ago arrested for allegedly
stealing a baby from a hospital in Kabale municipality and later
released by court was yesterday arrested apparently in another attempt
to steal another baby from Rugarama Hospital also in Kabale
The Kabale District Police Commander Brian Ampeire told our reporter
yesterday that Primah Mackline Kyomugisha, a resident of Nyabushabi
parish in Kyanamira sub county Kabale district, after she reportedly
failed to steal a baby took off with a hand bag that contained 50,000
shillings and a National Identity Card among others items belonging to
Evelyn Asiimwe, one of the mothers admitted at the Maternity Ward.
He said that Kyomugisha was intercepted by medical personnel at
Rugarama hospital who informed police and she was arrested. Ampeire
however declined to divulge details of the first case. Ampeire said
the suspect is held at Kabale central police station as investigations
in the matter conyinue.
