Mbarara district COVID-19 task force has expressed concern over how the public has relaxed in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic which has so far claimed two people in Uganda.
While speaking to crooze fm today, Mbarara regional referral hospital director Dr Celestine Barigye revealed that this relaxation creates more chances of coronavirus to spread.
On the same note, the district health officer (DHO) Dr Peter Ssebutinde has said the public is no longer seriously washing hands though this hasn’t demoralized authorities in enforcing the directives.
Mbarara has as of Wednesday, July 29, 2020 received 36 cases, 29 recovered, remaining with 7 patients and 15 Kenyans have been sent back to Kenya.
