Opposition Must Work Together to Defeat NRM – Mbarara FDC Leader

The Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) chairman Mbarara district Stanley Katembeya has revealed that the opposition in Uganda is still strong but it lacks cooperation in the struggle which has left room for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) to win them.
“The opposition side will have to work jointly and take it healthy if they are to win the 2021 general election especially the presidential seat,”Katembeya told Crooze Fm.
Katembeya who is vying for Mbarara city mayor and doubles as Peoples Government governor western Uganda, says there is need for the opposition to front one candidate in the 2021 presidential because if they massively support the opposition candidate, victory will be achieved.
‘There are some people who think if you don’t appear on the ballot paper the world is over, which is wrong. If we can work together as an alliance and front a joint opposition candidate, i support it but,’ he added.
