Students Stranded As Rains destroy School in Kamwenge
Leaders and residents of Nyabani Sub –County, Kamwenge District and other beneficiaries of Rwenjaza Primary School, a government aided school are calling upon the district authorities to come to their rescue as soon as possible since the situation at the school is alarming, following the destruction caused by the heavy rain and wind on March 31st, this year.
The heavy rain and wind left four classrooms and the office of the head teacher destructed leaving over 400 pupils at the School in an improper learning environment.
Speaking to our reporter, Robert Mugabe the District Councilor for Nyabani Sub- County who is also the Deputy Speaker of Kamwenge, said he recently visited the school whose iron sheets on the building that was constructed in 1972 during Idi Amini’s regime were blown away.
He said, they as leaders, are doing all they can to rescue the situation.
