Stray elephants invade Kasese town
Six stray elephants have invaded Kasese town leaving hundreds of locals running for their safety.
The elephants are believed to have escaped from Queen Elizabeth National Park last night and raided villages of Mumbuzi, Town center and Kasese Municipal Health Center three all in Kasese municipality.
The elephants first camped at Kasese Municipal Health Center three and later descended into people’s homes in central division.
By 5am, locals had woken up to chase them through the streets of Kasese town up to Kidodo area to show them back to the national park.
