Star Times Uganda Premier League: Three fixtures to be rescheduled
The Star Times Uganda Premier League Secretariat on Wednesday confirmed they would postpone three league fixtures after receiving the final Uganda Cranes Squad travelling for the International friendly match with Kenya, to be played on Sunday 8th September 2019.
The Secretariat has therefore, adjusted the SUPL Fixtures for Clubs that have more than three players summoned for the national duty.
The postponed fixtures include Maroons FC home game against league champions KCCA FC that was to be played on Friday 6th September 2019,Vipers SC home game against Jinja based side BUL FC that was due on Saturday 07th September 2019 and Onduparaka FC home tie against Vipers SC that was to be played on Wednesday 11th.
New dates for the fixtures shall be communicated later, according to the statement released by the
KCCA FC has six players out for national duty including, Lukwago Charles, Kizza Mustafa, Revita John, Kasozi Nicholas, Okello Alan and Mutyaba Muzamir while Vipers SC has Bayo Fahad, Willa Paul, Lwaliwa Halid alongside Kayiwa Allan to make a total of four.
Champions KCCA FC, Vipers SC and Bul FC have all picked up maximum points from their opening two fixtures, while Maroons have won one of the two games, Onduparaka took home points after Police FC failed to honor the fixture on the opening day of the season before losing to Uganda Cup champions and newly promoted Proline FC on Wednesday.
