Soap vendor who set himself ablaze speaks out
The Soap vendor who set himself ablaze in Kazo district has accused traffic police officers for acting unprofessionally and inhumanly.
Mugisa Akora 23, a resident of Nyakasanga ward Nyamwamba division in Kasese district was on Thursday, July 23,2020 intercepted by traffic police at Bugolobi along Kazo-Ibanda road where he was given a shs40.000 fine note for not wearing a face mask and a helmet.
Speaking to Crooze fm, Akora who is at Kazo Health Centre IV where he is slowly recovering, asked that government should intervene and upskill traffic officers on how to handle people especially the poor.
Drabo Charles, the Kazo district traffic officer revealed that Mugisa is under tight security and after recovery he will be charged with attempt murder.
