Rt Rev. Cyprian Bamwoze succumbs to cancer at mulago cancer institute.
The retired Anglican Bishop of Busoga Diocese, Rt Rev. Cyprian Bamwoze has died, after a long battle with cancer. Bishop Bamwoze died at the Mulago Cancer Institute, the church and family sources have confirmed.
The Anglican Church has announced that arrangements for his funeral and send off will be communicated in due course.
Bishop Bamwoze was the first Bishop of Busoga Diocese, after being consecrated in 1972 when Busoga Diocese was created from Namirembe. Bamwoze retired in 1998 and was succeeded by Dr. Michael Kyomya.
