President Museveni has re-emphasized government’s commitment to deal with corrupt government officials.
The latest corruption index by transparency international for 2018, places Uganda at position 151 out of 180 countries in the world.
In East Africa, Rwanda was ranked 48, Tanzania came second at 103 globally, Kenya third and ranked 143 globally.
The President while speaking at an anti-corruption dialogue at Imperial Royal hotel in Kampala, said the adult literacy which stands at 73%, is the catchment area to replace the corrupt people, adding that increment of salaries cannot be the solution, but the respect for God and the love for the country.
