Political actors warned over increasing hate speech.
The chairperson Parliamentary Human Rights Commission Jovah Kamateeka has warned political actors over increasing hate speech, and abusive words being used.
Kamateeka who is also Mitooma District Woman MP noted that some people are spreading hate speech and sectarianism which is threatening the stability of the country.
The legislator warned political actors to stop cheap politics through using sectarian lines which she says is what caused political violence in past years.
She asked the public to engage in income generating activities which will help them to eradicate poverty at house hold levels, instead of getting involved in early campaigns.
Kamateeka said that despite the commission having launched the road map of 2021 general elections, it does not permit individuals to start campaigns.
