Police summons Red Pepper over Aine Pictures
Police has summoned the editor of a local tabloid – Red Pepper Publications over publication of pictures of what the paper said is the dead body of Mr Christopher Aine.
In a letter dated January 7, Mr. Odongo Mark Paul, Deputy Director Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Directorate and Special Investigations Division summoned the Chief Editor of the paper for an interview and statement recording.
Meanwhile, the relatives of Aine have confirmed that the picture of the dead body is that of their son.
The picture of the decomposing body appeared yesterday evening on social media, about two weeks after Mr Aine went missing.
Police have since denied knowledge of his whereabouts, although the Go Forward campaign team insists that he was arrested by IGP Gen Kayihura’s men mid last month.
Today, Aine’s family members together with police officers stormed KCCA’s city mortuary to look for the body in vain.
