Naome Kabasharira Risks Nullification of Her Candidature in Rushenyi

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) electoral commission chairperson Dr Tanga Odoi has threatened to disqualify any candidate involved in inciting violence in Ntungamo district.
There is suspicion that Naome Kabasharira might behind the demonstrations that are happening in Rushenyi county after angry voters in Rushenyi staged demonstrations in Rwahi, Rubaare and Rwentobo town councils last week for four days blocking the Ntungamo-Kabale road, protesting the delayed announcement of September 4, 2020 NRM parliamentary primary elections and Dr. Tanga Odoi declaring Mwesigwa Rukutana as a leading candidate ahead of Naome Kabasharira.
‘I said give me three or five days, why are you demonstrating… this won’t help. I’ll announce a winner when I am ready,’ Dr. Tanga Odoi stressed.
Tanga Odoi’s comments follow Kabasharira’s comments that she will put off her hands and let Rushenyi on fire.
He revealed that Hon Kabasharira will get shock because it is not accepted in NRM guidelines to mobilize voters to demonstrate and paralyze the business of innocent Ugandans.
