Naguru Hospital Cries To PAC For Insufficient Covid19 Funds
Naguru hospital has cried to the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee for the insufficient funds released to them for covid-19 management.
According to the accounting officer of the hospital Emmanuel Batibwe informed the committee that the government advanced to them 272m shs at the time of the outbreak and up to date no more funds have been advanced again to the hospital management.
Batibwe also noted that though Naguru hospital was picked as an isolation center to handle covid patients little has been done by MoH which has led to even use the hospital budget for other activities.
He said since march the hospital has received 120 covid suspects, 26 confirmed positive, 8 were active and 18 discharged and no death has been recorded.

Batiibwe also says that apart from the stigma the hospital has received for managing COVID-19, the hospital is grappling with the problem of space.
