MTN Uganda fulfills its generator pledge to Kamukira Health Centre IV in Kigezi sub region.
Western Uganda – Giant telecommunication company,MTN Uganda has today fulfilled a 300
million shillings generator pledge to Kamukira Health Centre IV in
Kabale Municipality Kabale district Kigezi sub region.
On 27th February 2019,Kamukira Health Centre IV in Kabale District
got a complete facelift after MTN Foundation committed 300 million
shillings for the refurbishment of the Health Centre that also
included donating items like beds,mattresses,bed sheets,blankets
and mosquito nets as MTN Uganda toured around western Uganda as part of its national 20 years celebration activations.
The Chairman MTN Uganda Charles Mbiire promised that they will also
donate a generator to the facility to curb on the challenge of power
shortage, the challenge the health facility was facing. The donations
and pledge were part of the MTN at 20 celebrations that were taking
place in Kabale District.
Receiving the generator on Monday 27th May 2019 at Kamukira Health Centre IV in
Kabale Municipality, the mayor of Kabale Municipality
Emmanuel Sentaro Byamugisha has commended the MTN Foundation for this great
work and for the demonstration of great corporate social
responsibility by contributing to the improvement of health services in
