Mixed reactions on Fresh Kid’s new private scholarship. Do you think his parents were right to reject government’s offer?
Currently all is well for the Ugandan young rapper Patrick Ssenyonjo,7, commonly known by his stage name Fresh Kid who on Friday, April 12 received a primary scholarship from Ruperalia Foundation boss, Rajiv Ruparelia to study from Kampala parents.
Fresh Kid’s swift eminence almost brought him problems when the ministry of youth and children affairs decided to impose a ban on his performances, stopping him from singing to pave a way for his academic concentration.
The ministry had also decided to move this primary two kid from St Agnes Primary School in Kawempe to St Savio Junior School Kisubi in Wakiso district, which was strongly objected by his parents and management, joined by the public to castigate government for helping who has already got help instead of helping the needy.
He now has a full primary education bursary from Rajiv, and the public has since then reacted on this, and the previous saga:
Namazzi Aisha I must say that kid is blessed.
Ainamani Wilber Barigye God’s grace, from grass to grace.
Ejs Symn At least he is now going to go and study. He should look at education and others later.
Moses Odwoka Good for him…now he can study , even promote his talent to an international standard…
